Sounds similar indeed.
I got a bit more feedback from my initial recruiter: The reason you get no feedback is that some candidates actually sued the company for being discriminated in the hiring process. In case they won, they obviously did not start the job (who would start with a messed up working environment), but got money for not doing so.
My last email was from an unknown person as well, but it was a member of the recruitment team (not HR), so I guess this part makes sense, since they most likely put you into a DB for other roles.
Word of advice on your last sentence: While this leaves the “Do not take criticism from people you would never ask for advice” paradigm, I would strongly recommend to only take work related feedback from people you have actually worked with. Questioning your capabilities based on a hiring process… just don’t!
The funniest comment I got so far was “process of ritualised humiliation”. It has a point though.
